Zundy Leadership Academy

Our Mission is....

To create a challenging learning environment that encourages high levels of achievement, while creating leaders one student at a time.

Zundy Offers:
Pre-Ap Classes for 6th, 7th and 8th grade in English, History, Math and Science.

Zundy's Club and Organizations are Cheerleading, FCA, National Junior Honor Society, Pep Squad, Builders Club, and Young Rocket Scientists.

Leadership Class that utilize the "7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens."

Wireless Laptop Computers that are used to incorporate technology in all classes.

A rock climbing wall and Wii that are utilized in P.E. classes.

Specailly designed teacher technology carts that contain an Elmo and LCD projectors

Growing Our Leadership Skills

Leadership Program utilizes 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey.  There are three different sections of Leadership.
 Leadership I concentrates on the Private Victory
  • Habit 1 - Be Proactive
    • You hold the remote to your life
  • Habit 2 – Begin with the End in Mind
    • Know where you want to go
  • Habit 3 – Put First things First
    • When you put first things first it expands your time
 Leadership II concentrates on the Public Victory

o   Always be happy for the success of other
·         Habit 5 – Seek First to Understand then be Understood
o   The single most important communication skill you can learn is how to listen

o   Will be achieved when two or more people work together to create a better solution

Community Service
Zundy students participate in several community service projects throughout the year.  Last year the students recorded 3,327 hours of service.  These hours were earned at projects such as: The Humane Society, The Pancake Festival, Fantasy of Lights Workday, Race for the Cure, Christmas Magic, and many more.  The students have created their own projects, such as Stuff-A-Stocking, and Zundy's Amazing Mentors.
